I am a lover of stories, whether fictional or a person's real life story. I was drawn to therapy after attending therapy myself in college. I really loved how therapy helped me to view my own story differently, enabling me to help myself, and I wanted to help others do the same.
I attended the University of Houston for my undergraduate degree and the University of Houston-Clear Lake where I achieved a Masters in Clinical Psychology. I have worked with burn patients, families of NICU babies, and brain tumor survivors. While working in a group practice setting, I saw children and teenagers. For the past three years, I have worked virtually with adults. During my career, I saw a need for more support during the perinatal period (pre-pregnancy through postpartum). I took the specified trainings and sat for the exam, becoming certified in perinatal mental through Postpartum Support International in March 2023.
When I'm not working with clients, I spend time with my husband and our goofy dogs, Sadie and Minnie. I love reading fantasy, crafting, baking, attempting to grow plants, and video games.
